Reverend Rockstar Electrifies Flying Circus with Last-Minute Open Mic Set
In a thrilling twist at the Flying Circus open mic night, Reverend Rockstar stepped in last minute and delivered a performance that left the crowd buzzing. With no time for fanfare, the band took the stage and proved why they’re one of the East Midlands’ most exciting live acts.
Despite the impromptu nature of the gig, the band played with remarkable cohesion. Drummer Pete laid down a rock-solid foundation, his timing and energy driving every track with precision. Andy’s thunderous bass lines added serious weight to the rhythm section, locking in with Pete to create a groove that was impossible to ignore.
Vocalists Matt and Ali showcased their range and charisma, trading leads and harmonies with effortless chemistry. Their dynamic presence brought each song to life, captivating the audience from start to finish.
Mark surprised the crowd with a soulful rendition of Neil Young’s Down By The River, delivering both vocals and guitar with raw emotion and finesse. It was a moment that underscored the band’s versatility and depth.
John’s keyboard work added the perfect finishing touch—his textured playing brought warmth and polish to the set, elevating the sound with subtle flourishes and rich layers.
Reverend Rockstar’s performance was a testament to their talent, adaptability, and connection as a band. With the new year approaching, they’re looking forward to more gigs, more music, and seeing familiar faces and new fans alike.
